The RAPID can be build to individual wishes and requirements, making it wonderfully suited for private & commercial use. Our diverse selection of high quality components, colours and build-ups make every RAPID an one of a kind, local and high-quality built cargo bike.

With a maximum total weight of 200 kg the RAPID is a stable and strong cargo bike, yet also a very manoeuvrable two-wheeled bike that will bring any load safely to its final destination.

With 112 Nm, the highly efficient SACHS RS mid-mounted motor is one of the most powerful pedelec motors on the market today. The motor is "made in Germany" and fully supports our goal of local and fair production.

Through direct power measurement within the bottom bracket, the additional motor power is correspondingly transferred to the rear wheel. Via the Sigma Remote control unit, you decide how much additional power the motor provides.

With or without load, uphill or downhill, leisurely or sporty: the Rapid with the Sachs mid-mounted motor stands up to all demands.

High-strength steel frame

Description

An innovative feature of our RAPID is its high-strength, beautifully designed and handcrafted steel frame. A steel frame is more robust than many others, and could become a companion for several decades.

The ingenious frame concept with many triangles and stiffeners creates a unique, stable and safe riding experience, even at higher speeds. Shocks and bumps are absorbed by the front part of the frame, while the sides and back parts remains their stiffness and strength.

Steel vs. aluminum frame

Our steel frame has a considerably better continuous vibration load capacity and is tested according to DIN79010.
Steel is very robust. It has a very large elastic range, i.e. high
E-modules, before it will bends permanently. This also makes it more durable and long-lasting.
Steel frames are not as stiff as aluminium frames, which results in a more comfortable ride. This is especially noticeable on longer rides.
Due to the strength, thinner wall thicknesses can be used and thus steel frames can be made just as light or even lighter than aluminium frames.

Continuous shifting

Shifting - even under load - is made possible with the Enviolo Cargo hub gearset. This hub gearset has been specially developed for the higher weights of a cargo bike and is very robust, durable and also maintenance-free.

Enviolo technology means: worry less about operating the bike and concentrate more on what is important! For example, on the traffic, the small and large passengers - or simply the beauty of the landscape. This makes the Enviolo Cargo hub gear the ideal gearset for every cargo bike and our recommendation.

The gear range is 380% making it suitable for any kind of topography.

Belt driven

Belt drives bring benefits: they are weather-resistant, flexible and sustainable. The low friction losses increase the efficiency so that your power is optimally transferred to the road.

Belts are also extremely durable thanks to integrated carbon fibres and are a clean solution because no oil is used. The costs for maintenance and servicing are therefore very low.

The belt drive is an "the extra muscle to the rear wheel"!

Reinforced steel fork

Reinforced steel fork

A reinforced steel fork, which can carry significantly higher loads, is fitted to the RAPID.

The tapered head tube ensures smooth directional stability even at high speeds. In addition, the larger bearing, but also the extra material used around the bearing, ensures a lower point load, stability and a better load capacity.

This design derives from the mountain bike industry and stands for stability, robustness and safety even on uneven terrain.

A large loading area and high payload - thanks to the system loading area of half a Euro pallet and a maximum total weight of 200kg, you can easily transport your freight with the Rapid.

The front loading area can easily accommodate with boxes, crates, tubs and much more. Larger objects can easily be secured with tensioning straps. Children and babies can also be transported safely and comfortably in our family tub.

A very low floor height of approx. 30 cm simplifies loading and unloading and gives your RAPID a very low centre of gravity. This feature enhances the Rapid's easy handling and good driving feel.

Cargo- and Family-box

Description

The secure family-box was developed to transport children, and the resistant aluminum frame further protects your little ones. Front and back seats can be built into the bin, seating altogether two children and a babyseat. Produced by Maxi-Cosi, Peg-Pérego and Yepp, these attachments can be attached securely and without problems. Especially interesting is the Peg-Pérego attachment, which is easily mounted with two horizontal metal rods.

+ Rain cover

Our rain protection effectively protects your children from rain. Together with the outdoor expert VAUDE, we have developed a plug-in canopy that offers enough space for two benches. The entrance is located on both sides and can be rolled up at warm temperatures. Similar to a tent, there is also a mosquito net at the entrance. The poles can be " folded " comfortably and are connected with elastic bands with one another.

Messenger-Box

Description

With a 350-liter capacity, this box is the biggest any Long John cargo bike has seen. It offers tons of space for any craftsmen or delivery service.

The lid can be folded up from the side giving you 100% full access. Gas pressure springs keep the lid open so that both hands are free for quick and easy (un)loading. The messenger-box is lockable designed for maximal volume transport.

Zarges Box

Description

The multifunctional Zarges Box is available for your RAPID. You can even lock up your Zarges Box without a key! Two versions exist: one with a completely removable lid, and one which opens and closes on a hinge.

Transport crate build-up

Description

Time saving and more sustainable solution for quick and secure transport of your goods. The transport crate build-up with retractable straps and an integrated tensioning mechanism is ideal for all who transports 40x60 or even 80x60 crates. No wrapping foils or other tensioning straps needed anymore. The system comes in 3 parts: 1 base plate, and 2 lids. Underneath every lid you can fit up to 4 boxes. Just pull the strap from the lid, tighten your load and start your trip. The simplicity makes this the ultimate, efficient and sustainable solution on the market for crates transport.
